Google advertisers told to reveal their identities
Companies that wish to advertise on Google will soon have to go through a verification process so consumers can better understand who are running ads and where advertisers are located. Google has enforced these rules for political adverts since 2018, but now wants to make them standard. The rules will come into place in the U.S. this summer, with a worldwide rollout to follow.
