Apple swoops for machine learning startup Laserlike
Apple has confirmed the acquisition of Laserlike, a machine learning startup. It will use Laserlike's expertise to improve Siri, its virtual assistant. Laserlike was founded four years ago by three ex-Google engineers and has since raises over $24 million in funding. It uses machine learning to scan the web for information to then deliver user-specific results to an eponymous app.
