Foxconn set to name chip unit head Liu Young as chairman
Foxconn is lining up Liu Young as its new group chairman. Liu would succeed Terry Gou, the company's founder and now prospective candidate for the Taiwanese presidency. Liu heads up Foxconn's chip making unit and is also a board member of the Foxconn-owned Sharp. Gou, 68, has repeatedly said that he wants somebody younger to run the company. Liu is 63.
