Google absorbs DeepMind's health division
Google has officially absorbed the healthcare division of its London-based, artificial intelligence business, DeepMind, after a successful sign off from the NHS trust it works with. Google acquired DeepMind for $400 million back in 2014, but has since dealt with numerous privacy and commercialisation issues, despite having the backing of Google's endlessly deep pockets, and advertising clout.
