Google to build €600 million data centre in Finland
Google is building a new data centre in Finland. The €600 million facility will be its second in the town of Hamina. Its investment in the region now totals €1.4 billion. In Europe, Google has constructed data centres in the Netherlands, Ireland and Belgium, as well as Finland. Its existing Hamina facility uses seawater from the Gulf of Finland to reduce energy use.
